Construction Project Manager

Our Utility Client – One Year Rocky Hill and Milford
The Construction Manager will provide the following services:
• Participate in applicable design meetings with the LNG Team to gain an understanding of the project(s) development and implementation.
• Assist the LNG Team in the review of applicable design submittals, especially in the areas of constructability and value added design.
• Assist the LNG Team in the development of applicable construction related Request for Proposal(s).
• Review selected Shop Drawing Submittals in relation to construction related items.
• Coordinate with the Plant Supervisor / Manger to monitor Construction Permit activities implemented by Contractors.
• Provide on-site QA/QC inspection reviews of construction work to confirm compliance with design plans, manufacturer specifications, and Avangrid procedures / protocols.
• Work closely with Contractors and the LNG Team to resolve issues and ensure successful commissioning of installed systems.
• Provide LNG Team daily updates on construction activities, issues encountered, and potential issue resolutions.
• Review contractor billing against work performed to date.
Education:
o Required – Minimum Bachelors degree in science related field
o Preferred – Minimum Bachelors degree in Engineering
Experience:
o Required – Minimum 2-years experience in energy related field
o Preferred – Minimum 2-years experience in construction management / inspection, LNG facilities, and/or industrial process systems
o Ideal – ASME B31.3, 340.4 (b) – Owner’s Inspector qualified with one of the following:
? > 10-years industrial pressure piping experience
? P.E. & > 5-years industrial pressure piping experience
? Certified welding inspector or equivalent & > 5-years industrial pressure piping experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Notable organizational skills
• Ability to travel between Milford and Rocky Hill
